Welcome to 4C – Hope Cancer Support Organization

It is our mission to facilitate the needs of individuals and their families who have been diagnosed with cancer that live within Belmont County, Ohio but must travel outside of the immediate area for treatment, through offering a diverse support system with the primary purpose of reminding them that they are not alone, that someone cares, and that there is help available to them.

We believe that during this time the family should not have to worry about trivial things such as travel expenses, and that is where we step in so that they are able to focus on what matters most, their loved ones and those precious moments that they will treasure forever. And our mission doesn’t stop there, as we want the families to know that we offer continued services for them too.

About Sandy Lodi

Sandra “Sandy” Bachie-Lodi, was born on January 29, 1947, in Martins Ferry, Ohio. Sandy was a retiree of Hanes Corporation and a devoted Catholic, who found joy in the culinary arts of cooking and baking. While her bountiful garden and blooming flowers held a special place in her heart, above all, her family, particularly her beloved grandchildren and great-grandchildren, were her greatest treasures.

Growing up on a farm, Sandy was a spirited tomboy who embodied independence and a strong work ethic. She instilled these values in her children and grandchildren, fostering their strength and self-reliance.

Beyond her immediate family, Sandy was a community matriarch, endearing herself to her children’s and siblings’ friends over the span of two decades. Her strength and courage shone through her battles, surviving both COVID-19 in 2021 and a 16-month-long fight against cancer. Sandy’s positivity remained unwavering throughout her journey, a testament to her unyielding spirit.

Now, she finds well-deserved rest after a life filled with love, resilience, and an unwavering dedication to her family and community.
